Great Places to Eat

Take a walk through History
Uniquely situated, New Lebanon was a part of history as early as the Revolutionary War. Presidents actually slept here and Samuel Tilden, former Governor of New York, won the popular vote for President! Mt. Lebanon was the center of the Shaker Community and many of the original Shaker buildings still stand. Lebanon Springs brought many to the area who wanted to bathe in its healing waters. Tilden Pharmaceuticals was the country’s first pharmaceuticals company, using many locally grown herbs.

Breathe the fresh air
Visit one of our natural areas or enjoy recreational opportunities at Shatford Park.
Attend an Outdoor Event
The Outdoor Farmers Market runs every Sunday from June through October and we also have several outdoor flea markets that run by Tilden Plaza and Meissner’s Auctions. Summer brings Music in the Park and the Community Picnic to New Lebanon. Two tag sales take place during the summer: Labor Day weekend’s Library tag sale and one a few weeks later at Shatford Park. Check back to see upcoming events.

We are a Green Community
Residents strive to maintain the beauty of the area that is free of heavy industry. We have put in natural lighting, encouraged the use of solar energy, and currently have a free EV charging station in a central location. Several natural areas are protected and wildlife abounds, including a good assortment of birds. Some have spotted moose, coyote, black bear, bobcat, possum, raccoon, deer and wild turkey.
Recharge your electric car and your soul
For electric vehicle charging. Level 2 charging, currently free to all. Located behind the library, at 21 Tilden Road. More info: https://goo.gl/maps/UHcUpq99urzvcKH88
