PUBLIC NOTICE, TOWN OF NEW LEBANON, PLANNING BOARD VACANCY & PLANNING BOARD ALTERNATES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the New Lebanon Town Board is seeking persons interested in serving in the
following position for the term as noted:
Planning Board (7 year term – expires 12/31/2028): The Planning Board is a seven year term and the Planning
Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The primary responsibilities of the Planning Board
are to review and make determinations on applications for subdivisions of land, site plan review, and most special
use permits. Questions should be directed to Elizabeth Brutsch at nlpb.brutsch@gmail.com. The vacancy to be
filled is the remainder of a 7 year term, expiring on 12/31/2028.
Planning Board Alternates (The terms of appointment of alternate planning board members shall be three (3)
years, except that the initial term of appointment of each position of alternate planning board member
following enactment of this Section 33-3 shall expire on December 31, 2027): The powers and duties of alternate
planning board members shall be as follows: All provisions of state and local laws relating to Planning Board
eligibility, appointment, vacancy in office, removal, compatibility of office and service on other boards, training
and education, compensation, and attendance shall apply to alternate planning board members. The Chair of
the Planning Board may designate an alternate planning board member to substitute for a planning board
member.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that unless otherwise specified, all applicants must be residents of the Town of New
Lebanon. Persons interested in serving in this position are to submit a letter of interest to the New Lebanon Town
Clerk. Letters may be submitted via mail to P.O. Box 328, New Lebanon, NY 12125; delivered to the Town Hall at
14755 Route 22; or emailed to townclerk@townofnewlebanon.com. Letters must be received in the Office of the
Town Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20th, 2025. Interviews, if needed will be scheduled for Thursday, July 3rd,
2025.
